I thought I was because there are 2 stockpiles feeding it, but when I deleted one, the problem persisted. The simplest QSP is created by designating a garbage dump activity zone, dumping the items you want to store and then reclaiming them when you are ready to use them. Dwarf Fortress > General Discussions > Topic Details. The quantum stockpile is set to not accept items directly, as usual, and the feed is not set to receive items from the quantum. The configuration is correct on both stockpiles, they both accept said items with the same quality and materials, as well as the minecart. Moments later, comes another dwarf and take that same item from the quantum stockpile and put it back on the feed. Keep your stockpiles organized with this weird trick Click For More Info Want to catch me live Follow me on twitch where I will be doing regular. The thing is, my dwarfs are taking the items from the feed and putting on the minecart, which correctly store the items on the quantum stockpile.

I got 2 stockpiles feeding it, one for Large Gems and another one for some trash items I want to get rid off. 1.4 Quantum stockpiles 1.5 Building destroyer door 1.6 HFS's back door 1.7 Forgotten beast zoo 1.8 Dwarven water reactor 1.9 And we'll throw in the barrel or bag for free 1.10 Infinite metal 1.11 Quick trade goods 1.12 Silk farm 1.13 Dwarven road-dar 1.14 Danger room 1.15 Coinstar room 1.16 Wildlife control 1. I havent even bothered with an atom smasher, quantum refuse stockpile. It has fixed both the stock screen loading time and I suspect its saving frames as well but I havent run any comparisons.

I set this one beside the trading depo to store trading goods. I used them for every stockpile where the material fills/triggers the cart quickly on my new fort. However, this one is getting me confused. The quantum stockpile is set to not accept items directly, as usual, and the feed is not set to receive items from the quantum. It looks like you have to make a tomb room. Unlike previous versions of Dwarf Fortress, it doesnt look like you can designate a coffin for burial. So keep that in mind: you may need bridges.Despite of initial trouble setting them up, I've been working with quantum stockpiles with success for a while now in a few different forts. Once the burial receptical is set up and the coffin is given its owner the dwarves will conduct the burial themselves. Your diverted brook will not have this layer and dwarves will not be able to walk on it. One note: brooks naturally have a kind of layer over top which makes it possible for your dwarves to walk over it. Then it should simply be a matter of digging out the path you want the brook to take all the way past your fortress and back to the original exit.

only issue is, all my trash, ie remains, nervous tissue, etc go down there as well when i dump them.

This should allow you to run the brook dry long enough for you to again build a wall blocking the water's original path. Quantum Stockpile, or piles Im attempting to create my first quantum stockpile, metal ore down by my magma smelters. If your climate doesn't get chilly enough for that, I've heard with enough operating pumps you can remove water from a brook faster than it is naturally replaced. Wait for things to freeze over and you can dig out the ice like any stone and erect walls to block the path of the water. The easiest is if you're in a climate that freezes. Dig out a nook (2x2 is fine) near your farm plot (s) and create a custom stockpile that only accepts seeds. If you want to re-route the brook and not simply fork it into two, you have a couple of options. All you should need to do is channel out the desired path.
